Le Yaca — Restaurant in Gland

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the restaurant Le Yaca in Gland.

This restaurant has a very nice atmosphere, with a beautifully set-up dining room filled with flowers, creating a charming, Instagram-friendly, and slightly girly vibe. The table was impeccably prepared, adding to the overall experience.

For the meal, I started with a mixed salad—nothing extraordinary, but fresh and well-prepared. My main course was a supreme of chicken with a parmesan crust, served with ratatouille and risotto. Everything was tasty and well-executed—not haute cuisine, but definitely solid, enjoyable food.

The staff was friendly, attentive, and quick to serve, which added to the positive experience. Prices were very reasonable for the quality offered.

I was hesitating between 4 and 5 stars. Let me explain. The welcome is nice, the food is DELICIOUS, the ambiance of the restaurant is very cozy, the view is nice. But... the service. It's very competent, very warm. However, we didn't get our water despite asking twice (we got tap water after asking for the third time) and it was on the bill. Of course it was removed and we were apologized, but still, it's a very very basic thing. Hence, I give 5 stars as a credit. We'll be back and we'll revise :) No, seriously, this place is great and it deserves high...
