Dorfkeller — Restaurant in Kippel

After our deployment for the mudslide in Blatten, our civil protection team had the chance to eat here several times. Every meal was excellent. Fresh, full of flavor, and served in portions that are just right, satisfying without being excessive, exactly what you need after long hours on duty.

The staff deserve special mention: extremely friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. You feel like a valued guest from the moment you walk in. The restaurant itself is beautiful, traditional, and full of authentic charm, perfectly fitting for the historic village center of Kippel.

I can only echo what many others have already written: I have been to many places, but this little gem of a restaurant served me the best cordon blue, ever. I love their menu. At first glance it looks like a traditional Swiss menu, but then I discovered the 3 specialties sections: Käseschnitte, Käsefondue and Cordon Blue. We had an amazing experience at the Dorfkeller. The staff was incredibly friendly and were able to seat us right away. They explained the menu and helped is choose our fondue. The waitress we had was super friendly, she even explained some of the more recent history of the area with the giant rock slide. The atmosphere is incredible, as was the food.
