Kobe — Restaurant in La Grande-Béroche

This restaurant is run by a lovely Japanese couple, both very polite and welcoming, and the food itself is of good quality and nicely prepared. Unfortunately, the pace of service was much slower than expected. We arrived after 20:00, with only a handful of other tables occupied, yet it took nearly an hour before our first dish was served. While I understand it’s not meant to be a bustling bistro, it is also not positioned as fine dining. The portions, too, felt rather small considering the price level. Service is a bit slow, but very friendly. We ate sushi, sashimi and tempura. The quality of food was good. Presentation is good (only criticism are the slices of sashimi are not cut nicely). Is a bit pricey, but is normal in a good Japanese restaurant. We paid roughly CHF 300.00 incl. Tips for 2 person without coffee and desert and no wine.
