Bellevue — Restaurant in Lax

Just a 3 minute walk from the train, Bellevue is WELL worth the stop. For me it was by far the best food i've had in two separate trips to Switzerland. The name is spot on as the views of the surrounding mountains are beautiful and add to the experience. To have lunch/dinner surrounded by the natural beauty of the swiss alps and eating the best Italian food outside of Italy was an experience I will carry with me until I have the good fortune of going back. The staff is warm and welcoming, especially the owner/ manager Angelo. Angelo is dedicated to ensuring his guests have the best dining experience, along with his brother Alex, the superstar bartender. Bellevue is a family owned restaurant, you can feel this upon entering and the love that is put into the food and the service adds to the experience in the best way. If you're a traveler reading this review and thinking about going, don't think too much, just go. You'll be glad you did.

AMAZING, AMAZING,AMAZING. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bellevue, it was an extraordinary experience. From the moment I walked in, the owner Angelo and server Alex made us feel like part of the family. The food was nothing short of spectacular - I can confidently say it was some of the best Italian cuisine I've ever had, even surpassing meals I've had in Italy. We had carbonara al tartufo, Risotto Nduja with Salsiccia and Pecorino, Spaghetto aglio, and Cavatelli al Pesto alla genovese fatto in casa con Burrata e Pomodorini secchi. I can’t tell you my favorite because they were all my favorite. We sat inside by the window and we had a beautiful view of the valley and mountains. Visited in May. Highly, highly, highly recommend. We were a big group (8 of us) and arrived a bit early for lunch. However they invited us to sit and have coffee while we waited for the kitchen to open up and wow, I am so glad we waited. Every single meal was absolutely mouthwatering, fresh, and perfect serving sizes. And to top it all off, the panna cotta I had for dessert was the best I've ever had in my life.
