This hotel and its restaurant are a hidden gem that went beyond our expectations. The ambience is warm and cozy, the decoration is beautiful and well balanced, and the staff were always attentive and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The food was possibly the best and most surprising part of the stay; we had a 4-course dinner where everything was absolutely delicious, with generous portions, healthy foods, and well-balanced flavors. Breakfast was a buffet with a nice array of options. Thank you to all the staff for our wonderful stay and if you have the opportunity to come stay here, definitely go for it. I am sure you will enjoy it as much as we did.

The restaurant is located at the end of lake Lungurn. The inside of the restaurant is very rustic with a fireplace in the main dining room, seating outside and a small room that can be used for parties, there is also a room used as a play area for children. The young staff is always very pleasant. The menu is limited with about 6 choices on the menu there were 2 Vegetarian choices (1was pasta) 2 fish and 2 meat plus a 4 course menu. The portions are large and prices reasonable the salad and soup we're served in bowls that can be easily shared. We found the food to be very good. This was the 4 time we visited Restaurant Kaiserstul for dinner and will return.

We had a wonderful stay here! The suite room was perfect for our family of four (the kids were in the same room, but separated by a wall and the bathroom was HUGE). The staff spoke perfect English and were incredibly helpful. We lost an item at their partner hotel and they helped coordinate arrangements for it to be mailed to one of our future hotels! They went above and beyond. Dinner at the hotel was a treat. We also enjoyed the Turren gondola ride at the other end of the lake which was pricey, but the views, hike and lunch at the top were epic! Picture is a view from the room! Everything was better than expected!

We stopped here late evening completely unplanned as we were driving through Switzerland and didn’t make it to our original destination. We were attracted by the cosy lighting and warm exterior, and the fact that so many cars were parked outside (a good sign). ||||We initially just wanted a quick dinner before getting back on the road and were greeted warmly by the team. ||||RESTAURANT:||- Very spacious. Lovely cosy interior with extensive use of natural wood. Feels like you’re in ski chalet or Christmas already. Traditionally Swiss ||- Extremely clean and hygienic. Spotless bathrooms. ||- Delicious river trout. I had it served whole and my husband had it as fish and chips. Our face lit up when they put our food in front of us. And we were even happier when we took our first bites. Tender trout paired with generous fresh vegetables. Perfect chips. Crispy deep fried fish fillet but still juicy inside. We cleaned our plates. ||- I ordered a bowl of their soup. Our waitress was so keen to ensure that we liked the taste that she let us taste it first. Extremely thoughtful. ||- All their vegetables are locally sourced from nearby farms. Fish from the lake next to the restaurant. ||- No space for desserts but we had a shot of their delicious homemade schnapps. ||- Lovely Swiss wines! (We day this after a trip to Burgundy). I think they keep all the good stuffs in Switzerland;) ||- Super friendly and thoughtful service. Our waitress just really wanted us to have a good time and took time to explain things to us in English and was patient with my limited German. ||||HOTEL:||- We had a room with spacious terrace (shared with the next room) and view of the mountains and the lake (from the corner of our terrace).||- The room was cosy, well-appointed. Bright and airy. The hardwares are all high quality. You have all the basic things you need (even toothbrush). Needless to say, spotlessly clean. ||- Power shower with extremely stable hot water! I can imagine staying here in winter with no issues. ||- just need softer bedsheets but we slept very well. ||- loved waking up to an amazing view outside our windows ||- breakfast was buffet style. Had the best buttery and flakey croissant (better than most of the ones we’ve had in France, where we were before Switzerland!) high quality cheese and charcuterie. Selection was not the widest but more than sufficient. ||- we saw a staff member clearing away the water condensation on the tables outside and plucking dead leaves from the plants while we were having breakfast. Just really nice attention to detail. ||||We would happily come back to stay...

Our recent stay had its ups and downs. The service and check-in process were excellent, and we found the staff to be very accommodating.

However, guests sensitive to noise should be aware of the room location. Rooms in the main building, which faces the main street, experience significant road noise throughout the night. This was particularly noticeable during a time of year when we needed to keep windows open for comfort. For a more peaceful stay, I highly recommend requesting a room in the second building, as these face away from the busy street.

The breakfast offered a decent buffet selection, though it lacked made-to-order options like fresh eggs. We also found the restaurant prices to be a bit high for the summer menu, although we heard that a more diverse menu is offered starting in October.

While the positive aspects of the service were appreciated, the persistent road noise was a significant drawback for us personally, and for this reason, we likely won't...

We found this hotel online, and what a gem! We were greeted at check-in with friendly hosts, and an amazing view of a gorgeous lake and valley as we parked the car. The check-in was quick and easy, and as we went up to the charming room, we found everything in place, and little unexpected touches. We checked in on a Sunday evening and the restaurant downstairs was steady. We found the view and hotel so inviting that we went down for an evening drink to sit and enjoy the fresh air and the view. Upon retiring to bed, the bedding was comfortable and we slept soundly. We decided to enjoy breakfast in the hotel the next morning. The reasonably priced buffet featured a wonderful spread of breads, cheeses, meats, yogurts, and delicious cappuccino. The only bad part for us was that we were only able to stay one night as part of our travels. This place is lovely and we would love to...
