I had the most awful experience in the breakfast buffet this morning. I had two croissants on my plate and I asked for an extra paper serviette as mine was quite used and grimy. A lady (who I presume is one of the property owners) conveniently assumed I was packing them to take out of the buffet and started lecturing about how food cannot be taken out. I told her it was for me to eat to which she pointed out that I had two on my plate and I asked for serviettes. She said you might put it into your bag or your pockets. Really?????? This is extremely rude for anyone in the hospitality industry. I belong to one and I know what service means. In my opinion she was being completely racist. I don't know what gave her the right to assume I was taking them out. If I can afford the hotel charges I can very well afford to buy a croissant. If there was any way to sue thus hotel I would. Never ever would I recommend this place to anyone. The shabby state of the hotel was something I overlooked but this discrimination I...
Read moreI had a delightful two-night stay at Hotel Restaurant Kreuz Malters. Its location is perfect, just a 2-5 minute walk from Malters train station, with a quick 7-10 minute train ride to Luzern’s city centre. The family-run hotel offers warm hospitality, with friendly staff providing personalized service and helpful tips. My single room was clean, spacious, and equipped with air conditioning for a comfortable stay. I kept the window open at night, and the nearby church bell wasn’t bothersome; earplugs are provided just in case. The restaurant’s Swiss sausage and cheese salad was a highlight, bursting with flavor, though it’s closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Breakfast was fresh and simple, featuring local breads and cheeses. Free Wi-Fi were convenient additions. A cozy, welcoming stay with...
Read moreThis little hotel is located in the central area of the beautiful small town Malters. The view from the rooms' windows, and the mountain air in the morning is awesome. Relatively quiet place, however, it's next to the main street of the town so traffic sounds may be somewhat disturbing for some guests. The rooms are quite small but nice and clean with a good quality/price ratio. Bathrooms are very good, except a bit noisy extractor fan. House people are exceptionally friendly and corteous, and the breakfast is fine, with good bakery, and they can provide a second helping of coffee, milk etc on request. The house has an elevator for guests who can't or don't want to use the stairs. Car parking is possible but with...
