The new rooms are simply fantastic—modernized to the last detail while still retaining the cozy, authentic Swiss charm of staying in traditional lodges. Despite the updates, they haven’t lost that unique spirit. The food is excellent, and the restaurant’s view of the mountains is absolutely breathtaking.

The Gasthaus Hirschen in Oberiberg offers great food and great service Sandra, one of their waitresses, provided us superb service. The chef and owner Hans Holdener does a superb job in the kitchen. Um etwas in den Schnee und in die Sonne zu kommen fuhr ich über Einsiedeln nach Oberiberg. Gleich bei der Kirche gibt's das Gasthaus Hirschen. Viele Autos und Lieferwagen liessen eine ehrliche und gute Küche erwarten. Der Saal war gut besetzt mit Einheimischen, ich durfte mich setzen wo ich wollte. Die schöne Aussicht hat sich leider im Nebel versteckt. Die Obergrenze lag und blieb deutlich höher als prognostiziert... Die freundliche Bedienung war schnell und schon hatte ich mein Wasser und das Menu gewählt. Fleischkäse mit buntem Gemüse und Pommes für 19.-CHF. Das Essen war in 5 Min auf meinem Tisch und sah hervorragend aus. Der Fleischkäse (Suttero) zwei Finger dick, die Pommes goldbraun und das Gemüse stellte sich als knackig und geschmackvoll heraus.
