Peking Garden Glattbrugg — Restaurant in Opfikon

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Peking Garden, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. This gem of a Chinese restaurant truly delivers on every front – food, service, and ambiance.

The menu offers a wide selection of traditional Chinese dishes, each prepared with fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. From the perfectly crispy Peking duck to the flavorful stir-fried noodles, every bite was a treat. The portions were generous, and the presentation showed real attention to detail.

The staff at Peking Garden were equally impressive – attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. They made sure everything was just right without ever being intrusive, adding to the overall relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. The manager Antonio was amazing and he help us with choosing the food.

Speaking of atmosphere, the ambiance of the restaurant struck a perfect balance between elegant and cozy. The tasteful décor, warm lighting, and soft background music created an inviting environment ideal for both casual meals and special occasions.

Fast food chain type establishment with sit down area. The food is produced quick and at very fair, even cheap prices. The Ciansu Beef was excellent and since trying that its only thing I come back for. They have several locations and a website where their menu can be viewed.

In the meantime I have ordered several times using their own internet portal. The food arrived hot and fresh and most usually within 20(!)-30 minutes. Only once it happened that delivery took nearly an hour and the food arrived in a slightly lesser condition. To be fair: that occurrence was during a busy weekend and they do state on their website that average delivery times are 55 minutes. Without asking they offered a large complimentary bottle of coke which was a nice surprise (although we do not drink coke its the thought that counts). That delivery time is too long for a perfect dish like the ciansu beef or even the sweet & sour chicken. The reason for that is that these dishes are made with a crusty fried dough covered meat and the dough loses its crisp texture after being submerged in the sauce for more than 30 minutes.

18.10.2025. the food is as always excellent, but worst service we have had so far. after ordering soup, appetizers and main meal from the waitress who speaks English, a man approached us to confirm our order and suggested my husband a bigger portion because he doesn't eat rice, when it was time for the main meal, only I got the food and my husband didn't , we waited for about 20 minutes hoping that they would bring him, but when we asked, they forgot his food, we didn't want to wait any longer and order again, we asked for the bill but there was an additional charge for a large portion, mine was not large and we didn't even get that large portion.. they forgot to bring meal for my husband and in the end a large portion was on the bill - something we didn't get (a large portion) in the end we only got one...
