Restaurant LO! im Kreuz — Restaurant in Rapperswil-Jona

Not celiac-friendly! They have those nice "gluten-free signs" next to some dishes in the menu, but some of them are wrong. I wanted to order a dish with this sign and thought that I'd be safe, but luckily I realized last-minute that there was also the number "1" in the allergy list. The friendly waitress went to ask in the kitchen for me and it turned out that this dish was not gluten free and it was also not possible to be made gluten-free. She then did help me to find a gluten-free dish for me, but in the end I still got glutened. I really appreciate that they try to give the allergy information right in the menu, but it's even worse if the signs are misplaced. Businesses that make food for people should be aware of their responsibility to take care of people with nutritional intolerances and should make sure to train their stuff accordingly. People with allergies can run into serious health issues if they trust this wrong information. I would appreciate it if these mistakes were fixed and no more celiacs...

We went there because they have allergens marking on their menu and we have one celiac in the family. They indeed have good awareness and understanding. But the gluten free food was quite tasteless, as if they just made it without the soy sauce or so. It’s a shame as it is quite easy to find gluten free soy sauce or other gluten free sauces. Also, it was not clear why all the noodles dishes cannot be made gluten free ad they use rice noodles. So eventually we were not very satisfied with the quality of the food. But the place is nice, the atmosphere is great, and the service was good. I wish they improve their gluten free offering as we live nearby and would have been...

Since the beginning I have always chosen this Restaurant. However, today, I should have chosen differently.

What's happening that you guys have decided to cheap out on ingredients but still charge the same amount? When I spend CHF200.00 and get burnt food I have a reason to be upset. Please go back to using prime ingredients! Your Pepper Beef Wok is the reason I introduced your restaurant to friends and family.

Have you guys got a new cook? Please bring back the old one... I will keep supporting you guys but please bring back your old ways.
