Edit: Aug 2020 A change in personnel has greatly improved this bakery. In addition to that it seems that the options have also gotten better - at least now you can get an amazing vanilla gipfeli on the weekend. So I am changing my review from 1 to 4 stars.

The sandwich is ok, but the cappuccino is simply bland. The cafe seating was definitely not busy (about 1/3 full), so I decided to take a sit while being mindful of the volume of patrons who might need seats. After a few minutes, the Cafe lady asked me to go away because the food I ordered are in takeaway packages (at least this is what I understood from her German and her hand gestures). we asked for coffees to take away but once outside we decided to have the coffee on the terrace. one employee said to us that is not possible but for this time it’s ok… after 5 minutes she appeared again to put a reserve in the table without saying anything and after 5 minutes she appeared again to say that we have to go in very rude way. unnecessary and confusing....
