This small, typical Vaudois restaurant, which used to be a benchmark, has gone off the rails. Horribly cooked perch fillets (floury, baked in coal-black butter), French fries - perhaps homemade, but it's not certain - soft and full of oil. Accompanied by a small green salad with an unattractive, careless vinaigrette dressing, almost too vinegary. The service is made up of undistinguished staff, with no spirit attached to the walls of this establishment that was once a benchmark of local spirit. Prices are out of all proportion: - CHF 5.00 for a coffee! (Do they think they're a Palace?) - CHF 49.00 for the perch dish (2 courses, approx. 2X6 fillets), much more expensive than most restaurants (which also have the decency to sell foreign fillets and Lake Geneva fillets at different prices). - Mineral water 50cl: 7.00 (!!) The kind of establishment to avoid without giving it a chance.

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of Café du Port in Rolle. Nested close to the lake, this restaurant focuses on perch fillets, with meunière sauce and french fries as well as a (small) green salad appetizer. You cannot go wrong with this restaurant as they do well what what they specialize on. Also had a mushroom toast as appetizer which was good but unnecessary ultimately considering the large portion of fish as main.

Nice little eatery for club members but not only. The terrace is built out over the water and you have beautiful views over the lake and harbor. Food is OK, wine by the glass (labelled red, white or rosö) not particularly good but relatively cheap. Overall not particularly good value for money.
