Fine flour — Restaurant in Romainmôtier-Envy

It shouldn’t be hard to get a good croissant in Europe, right? It’s such a breakfast staple. But even in the French-speaking part of Switzerland, I’m often disappointed. Not so at this unassuming wood-fired bakery-café in my favourite village of the Swiss Jura, where the almond croissants are my benchmark. The flans, artisanal bread and coffee are good too. During the morning rush when everyone arrives for coffee it can take a while, so grab a seat at the window bench, relax and enjoy the view of the 11th century priory around which the village is built. Amazing, wonderful, delicious. I couldn't have had a better experience. everything was a delight, the brioche, bread, butter and jams, all of the pies, croissants, and the cheese and charcuterie plate. Be aware that the hot chocolate is made of raw bitter chocolate, no sugar added ;) great staff. nice cosy place....

Après une chouette balade dominicale dans la region, on se prend à rêver d'un sympathique goûter et d'une pause désaltérante au coeur de ce magnifique village. Problème, à 15:00 (le dimanche c'est pourtant ouvert jusqu'à 18:00), les présentoires de Fleur de Farina sont vides, les thés proposés à la carte ne sont pas tous disponibles, le sirop de sureau non plus en raison d'un changement de fournisseur et les assiettes froides ne sont servies que jusqu'à 14:00...
