Hôtel Restaurant St-Georges — Restaurant in Romont (FR)

L'accueil est très sympathique et chaque lundi-matin, je prends le temps pour aller boire un bon café (renversé) avec des petits pains au lait et lire le "Matin" et la "Liberté" car je suis à la retraite ! Pour le repas de midi, la carte des menus mérite le détour ! Bon appétit ! Comme d'habitude, l'accueil est très convivial et l'ambiance est sereine avec les habitués dont je fais partie ! En ce mardi, 23.03.2021, en remontant à pied la Grand-Rue, en direction de la Poste, je me suis arrêté, ébloui, face au bel Hôtel St-Georges rénové ! En ce beau mardi, 22.02.2022, souffle un air de liberté car le masque n'est plus obligatoire pour entrer au St-Georges pour prendre un bon café et lire " La Liberté ". Après mon passage à la Poste de la cité, en ce lundi, 07.11.2022 entre 17h00 et 18h00, je me suis rendu au St-Georges pour boire un bon chocolat chaud et lire " La Liberté "après avoir saluée la patronne toujours fidèle à son poste ! Aujourd'hui, 12.01.2023, c'était pour souhaiter mes bons Vœux à la sympathique patronne et prendre un bon " café renversé " et lire la " Liberté " en ce premier jour de reprise après des vacances bien méritées ! Ce mardi, 14.03.2023, après avoir passé à la Poste à deux reprises, le matin pour régler la Fiduc. Et l'après-midi, à pied, pour déposer les enveloppes remises par la Fiduc. , ensuite, arrêt au St-Georges pour un choco chaud et lire " La Liberté " ! Vu la pluie, retour au bercail en voiture. Le mardi, 06.06.2023, après mon parcours à pied ( en fin de journée = 6390 pas ), je suis resté entre 17h00 et 19h00 à ma place habituelle ( voir photo de ce jour ) à lire " La Libertè " en appréciant mon chocolat chaud ! En réponse à votre demande, après la rénovation de l'Hôtel St-Georges suite à l'incendie et au vu des photos, tout est magnifique avec en plus de la belle expérience des aimables patrons que j'apprécie ! C'est pourquoi, aujourd'hui, j'ai relevé les notes d'appréciation qui sont méritées ! En ce lundi, 22.01 2024, vers 15 h00, comme il pleuvait, je me suis arrêté au sympathique Café-Restaurant de l'Hôtel St-Georges où j'ai pu souhaiter avec un peu de retard, mes bons Vœux pour 2024 à la souriante patronne ! Restaurant review only - the redtaurant is really nice typical swiss place. It is clean and fondue was really super tasty and portion was large. Prices are high but typical swiss, around 30 CHF per item / plate. Location is amazing even though Romont is small. Everyone was polite. They are a bit slow and you can see that the workers are super young and very inexperiences but they were very sweet. Menu is very limited but the they arange food well, ir looks great and is tasty. Limited menu is also typical swiss thing - simpliciti and only like 3 choises and so this is one of the best swiss restaurants I have been, and I visited many all over the country. We arrived at the hotel on time and asked for our reservation. We had a discussion with the manager about a possible cancelation of one of the rooms. I insisted on checking my cancelation of this particular room. There was no question that we intended to make use of  our reservation for our room. The dispute grew angry, the manager was impatient and very unfriendly and told us that he would give us no room at all and that we should leave.
