Gemelli — Restaurant in Rorschach

I come from there now. I am a diploma cook myself, I have 5 years experience and I have worked in several Restaurants and Hotels. I can't say I ever had such bad experience dining out, this is not supposed to happen when you go with your family out for dinner: My family asked 2 pizzas 1 for each person, and it turned out they came with products not fresh, artichoke and mushrooms are canned, and they were not told while ordering they were canned and not fresh, and the other pizza came with ingredients that were not shown in the menu like oregano (and my family member does not like that), the tomato sauce is acid and gave the feeling its also canned, I dont know if anyone ever tasted fresh mushrooms but its just nothing at all compared to canned mushrooms, it just isn't. But this is not the worst and what made this the worst experience of my life: The 2 pizzas were sent back and it was told to the waiter they had non-fresh products and they were not of the liking of us, in a way they couldn't eat that, and the bill was asked, thus was said politely and the bill asked politely... 5 minutes later, the cook came, with a plate with the slices of the pizzas on top of each other, put the plate on the table, and started to argue, arrogantly, nervously, and aggressively, full of reason, he asked what was wrong, when my family member said some ingredients were not fresh, he interrupted and didnt let him talk anymore saying it was the best pizzas, that my family member didnt knew what he was talking about, and that he was crazy, all this while messing around with his hands the slices of pizza, disrespecting the food aswell, we got up and went to pay, and he punched the table and told us to pay, which we had all intent to do in the 1st place, nobody said we were not paying what we didnt eat... But it seemed to me he was afraid for that, and did all that scene and mistreaded everybody because he wants to make money, more than anything, that's not the way to treat people, and that's not the way to treat ingredients and food. This person does not deserve to have this place and neither to be a cook. I am sad that there is no such thing as obligatory/must-have customer complaint book, because in my country it is, and every complaint is checked and taken care of by sanitary inspections. And that cook should be punished for treating people like that, and for not informing that products are not fresh. And it just reveals greedyness to also insist on charging for something that was not consumed. This is my opinion, I REALLY do not reccomend...

Zum zmittag essen haben wir 1 pizza genommen, draussen gegessen und gefragt ob diese im holzofen gemacht wurde, der Herr sagte ja klar! Vielleicht verstehen Sie ja deutsch nicht aber hier steht holzofen. Es war frech und beleidigend,nur weil er uns mit italienischem schild gesehen hatt heisst es noch lange nicht das wir kein deutsch verstehen. Als wir hinein gegangen sind um zu zahlen war der holzofen zu!! Die cola bringt er stehts offen und diese war sicher nicht original aber hatte einen komischen geschmack...nur salat war gut. Als wir gezahlt haben, hingegend darauf zu achten wieviel wir im gegeben haben,hatt er einfach die münzen eingepackt und aufwiedersehen gesagt ohne den rest zu geben!...

Since many years we go every now and than. We enjoy always! Owner and stuff are friendly, forthcoming and in great mood. Especially we like the pizzas. Good place for couples, families,...
