EL RICO - Steakhouse & Burger — Restaurant in Samnaun

We ate there on the afternoon of 17 Sep 22 and, while we found it OK, it was not the best. For one, the burger was a double-stacked 250 gram piece. It certainly looked great but at nearly 15cm hight, there no way you can get that in your mouth. So, we resorted to fork and knife. For point 2… we’re used to great angus burgers in the US and Canada… this one was like a plain old 80% ground beef without and spices or flavoring. Point 3… the waitress seemed stressed and didn’t appear interested in catering us… she didn’t even come over once to ask if we need anything. Point 4… we wanted mustard instead of the standard mayo-based spread. The waitress said she didn’t think they have mustard and needed to ask the kitchen. We did finally get our mustard but they charged extra for it! Point 4… Warsteiner beer is, in our opinion, low-class German beer and, at 7€ a 1/2 Liter, way too expensive. The concept is a mess an old bike outside mixed with random themes inside like the twist of pirates and what ever that popped up while shopping inventory. Staff are not service minded even though there are plenty it looks like they really don’t know what they are doing there. The rock music cliche is served with flatscreen TVs showing a live radio studio program. The owner walks around in he’s pirate denim jacket with he’s biker attitude Mohawk top fulfill the concept. The steak we order took 45 min to prepare and was cut wrong, so it was more like chewing rubber. We ordered double cheeseburgers and got singles with two slices of cheese 😂

Zero Respect, we selected a place to sit, it was too hot so we forced to change, the woman was angry for changing the place, we respected her didn’t say anything, then we ordered Cola, but requested to bring Cola with the dish not before, she said (the waitress I mean) I don’t have time to listen to you and bring the Cola with food!!!
