Paradiso Mountain Club & Restaurant — Restaurant in Sankt Moritz

We mistakenly went to a different mountain thinking that we would find the restaurant. To our surprise, we were in the wrong place and to get to this restaurant it would take at least 1 - 1:30 h. Unfortunately we would not have time to arrive at the time of the reservation. So I called the restaurant explaining the situation and asking to cancel the reservation without penalty. But the person on the phone had no empathy or understanding, it was the opposite, just said that they would charge the cancellation fee. I politely tried to change my reservation to another time or to the next day. The person still refused to understand the situation and said "if you want to make a new reservation, that's fine, but I will still charge the fee. It was your mistake". And then, before I even hung up the phone, I got the message that my card was being charged. So they are not only rude, but also awful because they lack empathy and they really don't care about people! Reading the reviews I saw that the main complaint is how rude they are. So their rating made sense, which even though the place should get 5 stars for that reason alone, is getting lower and lower. Paradiso is truly a gem in the heart of the Swiss mountains, offering breathtaking views over the lake and landscapes painted in colors that feel almost unreal. The setting is chic and stylish, with both indoor and outdoor seating areas that create a glamorous yet cozy vibe.

The staff is warm and welcoming, speaking several languages fluently — Italian, English, and German — which makes the experience even smoother for international guests. The food quality is top-notch: I tried their famous fondue, served in a pot with a mix of incredible cheeses enhanced with a touch of champagne. Delicious and memorable.

That said, Paradiso is more about the atmosphere and the overall experience than just the food. It’s a place where you go to soak in the ambience, enjoy the views, and live the moment. Prices are definitely on the high side — our dinner for two came to over €190 — and don’t forget the chairlift fee, which is an extra €60 for two people.

It all depends what you are looking for. If you are looking for a good restaurant with good food and service, this is not for you, go somewhere else! If you are looking for a daytime club in the mountains and you do not care about the food, this might be better for you. Unfortunately I was there more for the food than the club. The burger was very ordinary, they write in the menu that it is a smash burger, it is not, why write that it’s a smash burger?? The émincé de veau à la zurichoise is hard and chewy, that meat is very low quality, the spätzle were reheated in the pan and were dry and crunchy like chips. The grand finale, the chouquette was tasteless, there was not enough chocolate and the ice cream was low quality again with bottom shelve ice cream.
