Hien‘s Kitchen — Restaurant in Schlieren

Ordered the food today. After reading the reviews, I was so excited to order and couldn't wait to have some Viet dish.

*Food: We were so disappointed with the "authentic taste" of the food since we have seen there is review here saying it's authentic so that we had high expectation for this place. In fact, if you consider the dish as an Viet-inspired dish, it could be fine. But to say this is authentic Viet food, i'm afraid I have to say the truth that it isn't even near the authenfic taste. (Or at least with the dish we ordered were like that) We ordered: Bún bò Huế: Trust me, we were so confused by the taste since we tasted no lemongrass in the broth and also no shrimp paste which is the soul to make the real taste of the dish. Bún gà sả - Chicken lemongrass noodle: Again we didn't taste any 'sả" - "lemongrass" which is said clearly by the name of the dish. But it has a weird sour taste with mix of chicken breast and fried chicken in there. Phở bò: As a born-Vietnamese and raised up and lived in Vietnam for 30 years, i was confused to find bok choy and even broccoli in the dish!??? I wondered if this is a trend to put bok choy in all the dish to make sure that it's Asian dish or something? Chè đậu đỏ: Nearly see not as much "đậu đỏ" - red beans than the other condiments. Again not authentic at all. Chè trái cây: Thanks God that this one is acceptable and nearest to the authentic taste. At least we can enjoy something that make us to be less homesick during this period of the "flight ticket price increasing".

As i said above, you can say these dish are Viet-inspired dish, it'll be good. At least homesick Vietnamese like us won't be too much exciting then disappointed.

** Service: We took the delivery food so can't say anything about the dine-in. They were really in-time with the order schedule. Huge points for that! And they were really nice to give us a lot of complimentary candies and cookies which we really appreciate that! We have nothing to complain about the delivery service.

However, I don't think we will reorder when we really want some homelike or authentic taste if the taste will be the...

Bewertung: Ich war kürzlich in diesem vietnamesischen Restaurant und hatte eine wundervolle Erfahrung! Die authentische vietnamesische Küche hat mich auf eine kulinarische Reise mitgenommen, bei der ich mich wie in Vietnam fühlte. Das Essen war unglaublich lecker und die Portionen waren großzügig bemessen. Jeder Bissen war ein Fest für meine Geschmacksnerven!

Was diesen Ort jedoch wirklich von anderen Restaurants abhebt, ist das überaus freundliche Personal. Sie waren so herzlich und zuvorkommend, dass ich mich sofort wohl gefühlt habe. Sie hatten immer ein Lächeln auf den Lippen und waren bereit, meine Fragen zu beantworten und Empfehlungen auszusprechen.

Die Atmosphäre des Restaurants war gemütlich und einladend. Ich kann dieses Restaurant nur wärmstens empfehlen, wenn Sie auf der Suche nach authentischer vietnamesischer Küche und einer herzlichen Atmosphäre sind. Das Essen ist fantastisch, das Personal ist freundlich und die Erfahrung ist unvergesslich. Gehen Sie hin und lassen Sie sich verwöhnen!

Ich habe hier Pho Bo bestellt. Die Suppe hat sehr streng geschmeckt und auch unangenehm gerochen. Das Fleisch war leider auch nicht von guter Qualität und das in Scheiben geschnittene Fleisch war überhaupt nicht vorhanden, auch die frischen Kräuter die sonst in diese Suppe gehören haben gefehlt. Es war ein röschen Brokkoli in der Suppe was ich nicht essen wollte, da es einfach alt geschmeckt hat. Die Dame im Service war überhaupt nicht aufmerksam vielleicht sind sie dort auch einfach unterbesetzt. Wie dem auch sei habe ich nur die Reisnudeln in der Suppe gegessen und ein paar der Fleischstücke und habe den Rest stehen lassen. Ich habe es der Dame an der Kasse dann mitgeteilt die mir nur sagte das es anderen Leuten dort gut schmeckt und hat mir 2,50 CHF Rabat erlassen was ich nicht gerechtfertigt finde. Der Laden wirkt eher wie ein Amerikanisches Diner und der Aussenbereich machte einen lieblosen und ungepflegten Eindruck. Ich esse regelmässig und gerne Pho und kann diese Speise hier...
