This is a gem of a Chinese restaurant tucked away in Schlieren, and really near Urdorf & Birmensdorf. There's ample parking out front but it's in a quiet neighbourhood, so you'll have to look out for it. (Pop the address in your car's navigator to be sure.)

I've gone there a few times for lunch with a friend and we've both come away each time really appreciative of the taste & quality of the food. (She's also gone for dinner and really loved the food, range of dishes and service.)

We both usually choose the set lunch menu. The price for this ranges from 20-30 SFr for an appetiser & main dish. The drinks are extra.

You can choose vegetarian, or from a range of meats for the main dish and also choose the seasoning you want. (The hostess explains everything really clearly, so making the choice is easy.)

What is really great about each dish is how big the portions are. On 22/7/24, I took the Satay Beef and my friend took the Kung Bao Beef. We both were delighted with how tender the beef was.

I also took a takeaway with Cantonese style crispy Duck and fried rice, which comes with a drink. Also very good.

The restaurant doesn't seem to have a website but they do have a takeaway menu card which you can keep if you like planning ahead. Also watch out that the restaurant is closed on Tuesdays.

All in all, well worth a visit with its nicely done interior and...

I was very surprised when I entered. From the outside you wouldn't think of a very authentic chinese/asian restaurant. But I was gladly mistaken. I ordered black pepper beef as a lunch menu which came with a won ton soup. And let me tell you as an asian food enjoyer and critic of the asian chain restaurants we have here Switzerland - it was very very delicious! Beef was correctly done (Beef velveting) and the sauce was close to the original. Finally I had a won ton soup which actually had a great soup base flavor and actual taste. The meat inside was perfectly steamed and I really enjoyed the experience I had.

Service was super friendly which is a big + for me.

The restaurant layout and decoration is ok, nothing particularly special except for being very clean. The music was a bit random which I think can be improved.

But overally 10/10 experience....

Hidden authentic chinese food with a twist of western touch on service. Food makes me and family feels like home, cripy food is right on point, also added a western touch of super good service such as a food heater.

We arrived late on a sunday night an hour before closing, they were still able to serve food fast and good and attend to our needs.

Even though it is not at zurich, it is worth making a trip over to...

An underrated restaurant, extremely glad that I found this hidden gem! The hor fun/flat noodles was full of wok hei (charred aroma), so it is clear that they have an exceptionally experienced and skilful chef. It is officially my favourite restaurant! Can’t wait to go back for more! 🤩
