Oasis Baan Thai — Restaurant in Sempach

1. Chicken brochettes was outdated , bad smell and bad test that the child eating it wanted to throw out, it was returned and we told the waitress about the bad smell and test.
2. reserve made earlier , even though, three out of six of us had no glasses, no forks, serving water we ordered they didn’t bother to bring the missing glasses. We grabbed the glasses and forks from the table next to ours.
3. clearly the restaurant needs more staff, one waitress serving at least 4-5 tables is not enough. we had over 30 minutes waiting before taking our order, we noticed that other tables also waited. We had another waiting for the main course that we had to urge the waitress to bring. We noticed they prioritized takeaway orders. If they have no capacity to service the dining in customers they shouldn’t accept takeaway orders and prioritize that.
4. dirty glasses, stained chairs.
5. ordering main courses we requested minimum or not spicy, but we served very spicy 🥵 that we couldn’t eat.
6. when we told them that we are not happy about waiting ( bad service), one of ladies was really disrespectful making gestures by hand to the gentleman speaking to her.

We were there last year, we went back because it was good and I recommended the restaurant to friends, the worst is the disrespectful response, never saw that in decent restaurants. After our bad experience especially the no apology and disrespecting customers reporting service problems, we regretted returning there indeed. I don’t recommend this restaurant unless you wish to pay for unprofessional service. Make sure to smell the food they serve especially if ordered for children that can’t in general differentiate bad test from outdated food . Niiiceeeeeee. Finally. a real top quality Northern influenced Thai kitchen. They are rare, but this one is definitely a gem.
