My family and I traveled to Switzerland back in Sept-15. We chose this hotel because it was one of the available few which advertised good views of the lake. Since we had a car, we decided to be more adventurous with our hotel in Interlaken. Getting to the hotel was a bit of a challenge due to the road repairs. We had to go through a long big round via Sigriswil , else take the gravel roads. ||The hotel owner (coincidentally happened to be a fellow Malaysian who migrated here 13 yrs ago) She drove down the hotel to greet us and guide us to the hotel when we initially got lost. The rest was history. We ate at their restaurants and the waiters were so friendly and helpful, giving us good recommendations on the food and places to visit. Subsequently we had some trouble to start the car and get the gears moving and the reception guy helped us through it. ||The view from our room was beyond my expectations. It was surreal , the weather was temperate and i spent a lot of time on the balcony reading and emailing after my family have gone to bed. There was also a playground for kids and breakfast was provided. It was a simple breakfast daily but very sumptious ones. It was with a heavy heart that we departed here after 3 blissful nights stay. ||I totally recommend this place for couples, families and those who want a peaceful time and good sleep. You must have a car to come to this hotel. ||The hotel also has a restaurant which opens till late night. The restaurant offers a large variety of chinese and swiss / western food. The hospitality of the people of this family run hotel way surpasses any swiss hosiptality that we had experienced in our...

As a Malaysian, I usually have very high expectations when it comes to Malaysian, Asian, and Chinese food. To my surprise and delight, Restaurant Panorama not only met my expectations but went far beyond them. The flavors were authentic, comforting, and full of warmth—truly reminding me of home.
But what makes this place extraordinary is not just the food—it’s the hospitality. On the evening I visited, I was caught in heavy rain and missed my bus back to the hotel. The staff kindly allowed me to stay longer, even giving me an umbrella so I wouldn’t be stuck outside. They made sure I could enjoy the fireworks comfortably, and throughout the evening, they treated my partner and me as if we were part of their family.
This is more than just a restaurant. It felt like being welcomed into someone’s home. As a fellow Malaysian, I was proud to see Malaysian chefs bringing such authentic Asian cuisine to Switzerland, prepared and served with genuine heart.
If you’re in Gunten or nearby, this is not just a meal—it’s an experience you’ll carry with you. Highly...
