If you wish you can choose for a half pension which is highly recommended. In the evening they serve a 4 course meal with products from the region and with the highest quality. The kitchen at Hotel Sonne is well recognised within the region even past the Italian border and within their own area. ||Please note! The Fex valley is car free! Please park your car at the Parking garage in Sils Maria. You can purchase a ticket for the length of your stay to drive in and out the garage. ||||The Hotel Sonne offers a return shuttle service from the Hotel to Sils Maria. ||Another wonderful experience to Explore the Fex Valley during your stay is to book a ride with a horse and carriage. Hotel Sonne is more than willing to help you with your booking.||||Walking is very popular in the area as you have wonderful trails and paths to explore. Nature in the Fex valley is so overwhelming it will take your breath away. There are trails leading to the village Sils Maria where you find some shops, hotels and restaurants. ||||Sils Maria is a romantic little village offering bus facilities to several destinations including skiing sloops.The area has lots to offer and therefore please ask family Witschi what your wishes are. This charming hotel stands out as a uniquely special place among the many fine hotels we have visited on three trips to Switzerland. ||The location is serenely beautiful, combining mountain majesty and pastoral serenity. The food is delicious and the hotel tastefully appointed in elegant simplicity. ||These characteristics are common to many a Swiss hotel; what makes Sonne Fex truly stand out is the gracious warmth of its family owners. We met 3 generations of Witschis during our stay, and could always tell that they had been brought up to be hoteliers and were striving to honor the family tradition. They are expert at making the guest feel welcome, whatever that requires at any given moment, and clearly take pride in doing so. |Friendly, but not overbearing; polite, but with a warm bearing. ||There were a couple times in our stay that I needed some small matter addressed, and I was truly astounded by the manner in which a very busy, but also very calm Herr Witschi interacted with me; his gentle kindness made me feel as though he had nothing else to do that day other than take care of my little matter. ||We certainly hope to be back to enjoy this very...

On one hand beutiful location on the other unwelcoming stuff rude and nasty!!||Went into the hotel with my 7 years old daughter to use the toilets. While I was waiting for her, the owner approached me and yelled that I should pay him 10 Swiss Franks for using the toilets!|No manners no guest realtions no nothing - just demanding us to pay, at the most rude unpolite way!||He wouldn't let me wait for my daughter to finish, and demanded me to leave out emidiatly.||Even when my 83 years mother came in to use the toilets he wouldn't let her in and showed her the way out.||Shame on you ! |I would never recommend anyone to stay at this hotel or even stop for a coffee.||You are far away from knowing how to treat or welcome your guests, even if they are not hotel guests.||(And btw there was no sign or any notice for visitors which prohibited using or paying for the toilets).||Sonne hotel fex is a personae non gratae for me !!!|Be...
