Hookipa Pub — Restaurant in Thal

Well….. This place scored an overall 3⭐️ for these reasons:

Food: Vegan options was just salad 😩 and of course there’s vegetarian options but seriously I do think the price for a “beach bar” could be pricey.

Service: Well, it’s efficient because it’s self service 😅 but I think a little more friendly and warm wouldn’t help…. The girl with the curly hair at the bar wearing a lot nothing 🤪 is just not flexible. You know why…. When you see my Lillette Berry without berries well or should I say 2 raspberry and a teaspoonful of Johannesberry and asked her could you maybe have more berries and “That’s how it is“…..is all I got hmmmm otherwise the others there were fine but not much of a contact unless I go get something to eat

Atmosphere: Damn! It’s the best they have! So nothing you’ll regret and my guess is that’s what keep people going - the atmosphere without these I’m not sure if the food and service alone would make a difference

Parking is easy, which is just across the road. If you see the other speaks of prices, yes it’s on the high end for self...

Very nice location for a beach bar - they have a self service bar and they also offer food (didn't try it yet). You can observe the sunset, order a caffe or a coctail and just enjoy life. There is a paid parking available across the street. Bar is accesable also for people on wheelchairs. Would recommend this place for chilling with friends. p.s. Eigentlich ein toller Ort, aber die junge Chefin ist völlig unbrauchbar. Schon beim Parkieren wird man verfolgt, ja geradezu gestalkt. Ich bin leicht gehbehindert und musste nach der Fahrt kurz meine Beine vertreten und bin vor dem Lokal je 100 Meter nach links und rechts gelaufen. Sie fährt einem sogar mit ihrem blauen Dacia hinterher und schimpft unablässig aus dem Fenster. Schliesslich wird man noch mit Strafanzeige bedroht. Ja, das passiert mit gehbehinderten Menschen in der Schweiz. Toller Empfang.....

Allerdings kein Einzelfall, wie wir dann drinnen erfahren haben. Da gab es noch eine andere Gruppe, die hinter uns bestellt haben und genauso behandelt wurden.....

Immerhin ist die Bedienung freundlich, das Essen ist soso lala. Die Chicken Stücke sind fettig und schwimmen im Öl....

Fazit: da muss man nicht hin, Frau auch nicht..... Zeit für den Hookipa...
