Avant Clavo — Restaurant in Vaz/Obervaz

Terrible experience two days running. Crazy prices for the worst food. Very long wait for our food (45 mins) and they weren’t busy and seemed to have lots of staff. We were told our outrageously priced burgers (27 francs) would be increased to 30 francs if we have the lettuce removed for our kids! They didn’t even look freshly cooked. One daughter asked for no cheese in hers but it still arrived with cheese. The other asked for cheese and was told there was none (but still got some). What a shambles. Very happy people and the people that work there really do their best. The food was also very nice and still warm in the cold air. The only thing i didn't really like was the location. It was very hard to get there. And you needed to walk a lot to the restaurant. I don't know if that is still the case because they said they were building a new restaurant. Bitte, liebe nicht-Bündner und alle anderen Personen, die es gerne wertschätzend mögen, geht nicht ins Avant Clavo. Der Chef ist äusserst unfreundlich und unprofessionell. Wir haben Rösti ohne Speck bestellt, wurde mit Speck (nach 30 min Wartezeit) serviert und nach Hinweis auf unsere Bestellung wurde der Speck lediglich entfernt (keine neue Rösti zubereitet), zudem fehlte der Käse. Der Wirt sagte uns wortwörtlich „bezahlt das, ich sehe kein Problem, dann geht und kommt nicht wieder“, „geht zurück nach Zürich“ und wies darauf hin, wir könnten ja einen Lesebrief oder Review hinterlassen, das interessiere ihn nicht, wir sollten doch einfach nicht mehr kommen. Das Konzept von Gastfreundschaft wird hier definitiv nicht gelebt und völlig verkannt. Schade, eine echt enttäuschende und feindliche Erfahrung, die ich nach knapp 30 Jahren in der Lenzerheide noch nie erlebt habe.
