Auberge de l'Ours — Restaurant in Vex

My 17 yr old son and I spent a lovely 4 nights at the Auberge . The room was pretty basic but had a fabulous view (and there is one with an even better one on the corner that the owner showed us). A French chef prepared the only non-breakfast meal we ate there and did a lovely vegetarian risotto. The hotel was reasonably priced, very convenient, and we were very impressed with the Belgian ladies who ran it. They recommended restaurants even when we were not necessarily eating with them, and could not have been more pleasant. The breakfast spread was fabulous with lots of interesting compote combinations, this alone was enough to make the hotel special. If you are not bothered by a little music in the bar underneath (it wasn't loud honestly), would recommend this place and the new owners...

Despite a single review to the contary this hotel offeres brilliant service.||||Last year on a school trip with Viamond we had an excellent trip to this hotel with good food, good accomodation and excellent care from the instructors who live in the hotel and work with the students 24/7.||||I could not more highly recomend this hotel and look forward to our trip there in a couple...

Nous avons été très très dessus par cet établissement et sommes partis après la première nuit (3 nuits prevus) car nous n'avons pas dormi de la nuit. ||- Nous avons eu 2x2 lits superposes pour un couple et des enfants en bas ages. ||- Aucune isolation, on peut entendre les discussions d'une chambre adjacente||- Il y avait un groupe de 57 ados sans scrupule pour les autres clients, et au lieu de les repartir sur un même étage, ils étaient disperses a travers les étages. ||- Discothèque jusqu’à 4 heure du matin dans la salle de restaurant, impossible de dormir. ||- Réveil a 7h du matin par les promenades dans les couloirs avec les chaussures de ski. ||- Le tenancier ne s'est pas sentis concerne lorsque l'on a demande de changer de chambre, il n'a pas pris le temps de s’arrêter pour m’écouter, mais a continue a mettre la table. Aucune excuse, ni même d’écoute. Il a remis toute la faute sur son collègue. ||- Petit dej: pain, beurre, confiture et cafe. Point barre !!||||Etablissement a...
