Cabane des Crêtes — Restaurant in Vex

This is probably the biggest scam of the four valleys. It’s a very simple place on the side of the piste. The food was disappointing with pancake half cooked and quite bare. Of course being a simple place, you cannot pay with cards, reduced menu, there’s a single toilet etc. But guess what, it’s also the most expensive of the whole ski area bar none. 20 chf for a crepe complete despite being at the cheaper edge of the 4 Valleys. It is 13 chf at Mouton Noir in verbier proper ! What are those...

Crepe was ok, but charged us 15 instead of 12 (two crepes so 6 extra). When we pointed it out the lady took long time before she came back outside (we finished our food in the meantime and were ready to leave) but she did not acknowledge us until I directly called to her. She gave me 3 franks so I stopped her again and she finally refunded the difference correctly.

I know mistakes can happen but given the behavior I believe this was intentional attempt to scam us for 6 franks… really.. was it...

Cosy place run by friendly people. Very popular and limited number of tables inside, but it adds also family feeling :-) Food is great again - great for a quick stop to get some food/drinks...
