Love this place: the food, the owners, the ambiance

Best fish and chips i had aside from maybe Vancouver. Yes, hard to believe but some of the best fish and chips are in this super small down on the basement of a building. Super fresh local fish fried until perfectly crispy (i loved both batters) and not oily at all. The perfect meal before, after or during a surf trip. Only place open in town during the dreaded time period of 14:00 to 17:30 in Taiwan where most places don't serve food. Fantastic family run hole in the wall fish and chips place. The staff is friendly and speak English. Generous portions and a staff willing to go the extra mile for their customers. You do have to wait about 15 minutes or so depending on how busy it is, but quality takes time. ...

Even though they had lots of fish, we had a nice vegetarian dish.

The owner of the place was really kind and sweet, just like the donuts we had, a real treat!

The wait for the food was really not long, in the meantime we played a few rounds of ping pong.
