關西仙草最為出名，也是仙草之重要產地，其產量為全台灣總產量之80%，每年仙草節是關西鎮的代表活動，仙草（學名：Platostoma palustre）粵語又稱涼粉草，潮汕地區俗稱：草粿草，又名仙人草、薪草、小花涼粉草……等，唇形科仙草屬草本植物，為藥、食兩用植物，是仙草茶（又名：涼粉）的原材料，原產於東亞，環境適應力很強，仙草名稱首見於中國植物圖鑑，在「職方典」稱之為仙人草，又稱為田草、洗草、仙草凍、仙草乾、仙草舅，泰雅人稱Supurekku，排灣族稱Ryarikan，英文名稱為Mesona或Chinese mesona。仙草名稱之由來有三個傳說：第一個傳說：由於少量的仙草乾，莖葉加水熬煮後，其濾汁加入少量的澱粉，就能形成大量的仙草凍，古時候的人，認為此草具有，由少增多的特異功能，只有仙人才能享有，因此推斷此種草，應是仙人恩賜與人們的草，所以將此草稱為：「仙人草」。第二個傳說：在古代交通不便，出入均靠雙腳，天熱趕路容易中暑生病，有些善心人士，將這種具有特殊香味的草類植物，曬乾熬煮成茶，施予中暑之路人飲用後，身體很快復原，這些路人認為這種具有神效的草，應是仙人所賜予的，因此將這些能治病的草稱為：「仙人草」。第三個傳說：福建有人採集草藥醫治中暑的母親時，自己也中暑，醒來發現天然形成的仙草凍，便採集仙草治好了母親的病，由於神奇的消暑功效，被譽為：「仙草」。

紅豆仙草膠質丁剉冰比菜單圖片看起來還大碗，容器是一些火鍋店的白色菜盤。紅豆有熟透但不軟爛，口感適中，甜度也剛好。膠質丁咬下去仙草味很重，濃到說它是一味中藥我也會信，但我不喜歡中藥味的隊友能夠接受，說搭蜜紅豆好吃。好吃程度不下我愛的三坑老街仙草冰，是不同滋味的好吃。仙草麵就是好吃的客家炒麵（？）如同一般炒麵地偏油不會太油，吃不太出仙草味，但麵體跟料都好吃。雞湯也是一般中藥雞湯，喝起來感覺有點仙草味又好像沒有，肉偏嫩不柴。附的仙草塊有淋上一層薄薄的蜂蜜，舔起來甜，但將舌尖貼上仙草停兩秒會覺得苦XD 因為是他們家的一整塊，吃起來仙草味道實在太重，就給隊友加進剉冰配著吃了。店家男老闆，把冰端來時原本冰上就附著一支湯匙，問我們要分享嗎？說要又從身後拿出一支，可是湯匙上的東西看得出他原本就放了兩支，是又特別拿起來問我們 XD 覺得可愛。也會聽到他跟別的客人聊哪邊有點，走哪條路。是一次愉快的用餐體驗，雖然價格略高，但推薦有興趣但沒來過的人可以去嘗鮮一次。有去的話記得別忘了去窗邊看看仙草本尊哦！

I ordered one red-bean ice with grass jelly, which is ntd95 so it's kinda expensive in my opinon. As for the taste, I think it's not bad but not so impressive overall....
