泰極小館 — Restaurant in Hsinchu

An simple restaurant the authentic taste of Thailand at a reasonable price. This is one of those places that seems to be transported from its parent country. If it wasn’t for the background sounds of Taiwanese and mandarin voices you’d believe that you were in Thailand. The dishes tasted very similar to those we ate on vacation. I’d strongly recommend the beef (tender and tasty), papaya salad (very fresh), and yellow curry (rich tasting). Less impressed with the egg wrapped vegetables dish. 很久沒吃到讓人這麼無言的店…..

店內陳設非常簡單。老闆夫婦據說都是泰國人，我們在店裡遇到的兩組客人看起來也像是泰國人。

飯麵的價格很平易近人。我們點了兩份餐和泰式奶茶，特別請店家不要加蒜，幫忙點餐的小姐說「本來就沒有蒜」。然後餐上來，脆皮豬肉炒芥藍裡很多蒜末呀，而且超級辣，我們真的是完全沒辦法吃。另外，「脆皮」不脆，豬肉看起來是回鍋的，而且還有腥味。炒河粉沒有這麼辣，但也是辣的。

跟店家反應，小姐表示「所有餐點本來就都是小辣，如果要不辣要主動跟店家說。」，然後就一臉木然離開了。這…....
