Tried their food for a few times when it was still an anonymous street vendor, and came here again to see if there was any difference since it has turned into a big, popular restaurant. Undoubtably, it is still a good place for pleasing braised pork rice and different braised dishes of very decent price and generous sizes. But if you have very high standards for braised food, it won’t be difficult to notice that some items (pork knuckles, dried tofu…etc) are not well-flavoured enough before they are served to customers, probably because their business is too good to get some specific items (that need to be stewed or braised for much longer time) well-done enough in time. Abit far from the train station so if you do not have a car, it will tough to get here. There’s ala carte menu that you choose from your table and there’s also items to choose from the pots at the back. They will provide u a bowl to pick it and then prep to send to your table. The pig intestines taste really good with no bad smell to it. The fatty pork belly as well. The others also ok but nothing too fascinating. When we went, it wasn’t exactly lunch time and yet...
