Very cozy and comfortable place.the caramel latte was very smooth. The lemon tart was tasty but the crust was bitter and too crunchy. I asked the staff about it:it's over done/cooked. It's not proper to serve this to customers.
PS:not sure where to reply the owner's response,so I decided to do here: I did ask the short-hair-girl /staff why the crust was bitter, was there any special flavor or? She did answer me either over cooked/done .I didn't make it up,plus I expressed that the Tart was tasty. I did enjoy it. PPS:First of all, 1.the short-hair-girl -staff did say something that I wrote before she said thanks for telling me.(I can’t write each word very precisely what she said). And I also added the crust was really crunchy. I don’t make pastry, that’s why I asked the short-hair -girl what was the bitter flavor? Was it something special? I didn’t assume that the crust was over done at the very beginning, otherwise I didn’t need to ask/confirm , I just had to make the conclusion.(Due to the crust was not black color, I asked the staff, otherwise, I don’t need to bother. And did you guys tried the Tart the day? The crust was really “hard”, you can’t even cut with knife. but the stuffing was really good.)
2.The main flavor of Lemon Tart is Tasty/sour. if it’s not sour enough. You can’t call it Lemon Tart. Not even to mention it is yummy or not.
3.The way I expressed might be too subtle, but there are so many ways to express what you feel, being direct is not the only way.
4.I’ve written so many reviews, I have my own creditability. I wrote based on what did “happened “at the moment. Included the ambiance, staffs, cuisines, services. The good parts also the bad ones.
5.Like what you/the owner said: the sense of taste is very interesting. There’s no correct or wrong, neither good nor bad. Only preference. There are so many café’ around. I do believe you/staffs made lots of efforts to run the business. When I said “it’s not proper to serve this to the customer”, I meant the Tart, not the whole café. I can tell how you dedicate to this shop. So I personally thought the staff should be happy that the customer tell them how they really feel.

You have to consider…” having empty bar seats, two of us propose to just sit for a coffee only (no food), owner said also in an annoying manner: “no we are full” Okay then we: “we wait outside then” again with a rude reply “you can but have to wait long time” Finally we left such a “good” cafe which worths to “wait” outside for a “long” time. Not much welcome people is...
Read moreThe incredible attention to detail of the staff, and their incredible service sets this place apart alone. They speak excellent English, and have an English menu too. The food is excellent. If I had one wish for, it would be that the aircon was a bit cooler. Overall, very happy...
