That was the best dinner place during our 1 week stay in Taipei. A friend of family recommended us. It has 1 Michelin star since this year. Not for a special dish, but for the whole restaurant. On the photo wall you can see a lot of politicans who came here and many other celebrities. The size of dishes very BIG and sooo delicious. Dishes are Taiwanese cuisine, so good. Must try. Even recommended for Laowai (white people) who are more sceptic with traditional food, they wont be disappointed. Unfortunately it is not in Taipei City, it is 1 hour car ride away from Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall. And it is not wheelchair friendly as this place has...

Very local and traditional Taiwanese food. If you like to taste the original of Taiwanese local food, do come here. Do order the special fried spare rib.. huge and juicy meat with special crispy coating crust. The steamed chicken and herbal soup chicken are so good. Surprisingly good sweet and sour fish, fried oyster that doesn’t like a oyster as it looks like fried banana. Steam braised pork with rice is so so good.. Overall good experience with the friendly waitress who used to work there for very Long and cosy...

雖然很早以前就知道興蓬萊這間店了，卻不完全是因為它聲名遠播，而是它以前就開在我家樓下、後來搬到我家附近（據Google Map的測量，大概遠了160公尺！）。這麼近的距離，我卻沒有真正光顧過（只記得小時候去買過一次鳳梨炒飯），我也不明白箇中的理由究竟為何。不過實際食用過後，我對它有種「相見恨晚」的感覺。 然後2015年它又搬了一次，比原址多了2站的距離，大約是300公尺，幸好還是很近，是以這裡遂成了我家過年親戚集結的指定餐廳了。 ---------- 【單點／白片放山雞】 每次單點都是半隻的份量，不說其他菜，光為了這個雞肉，我就願意來光顧，既軟且嫩、皮下還有雞凍，超好吃。 【單點／白斬閹雞】 本以為放山雞已經很頂了，但限量供應的閹雞的油脂更豐厚、肉質更軟嫩，超好吃！ 【單點／薑絲肥腸】 薑絲非常細，連我也敢吃，味道還不錯，但跟真正的客家味比起來還是有差別。 【單點／鹽酥白鯧魚】 炸過的魚肉，皮很脆且厚厚一層，魚肉鮮甜，吃得出相當新鮮。 【單點／糖醋魚片】 主要是茄汁的甜味。 【單點／生炒花枝】 就是要加芹菜才對味啊。 【單點／藥膳鮮蝦】 藥膳風味不會太重，蝦肉很鮮甜，可惜有點蒸太久，肉質稍老。 【單點／招牌排骨酥】 興蓬萊的名菜之一，酥脆味美但很油，我最多也只能吃2隻就無法繼續。 【單點／手工蚵捲】 外酥內鮮又多汁。 【單點／百頁豆腐】 裡面包了火腿，外酥內嫩。 【單點／蛤蜊絲瓜】 超鮮甜，用湯汁配飯也超好吃。 【單點／水蓮炒菇】 身為一個水蓮愛好者，有水蓮菜一定要吃，料理得很不錯。 【單點／蚵仔炒麵】 超道地的台式炒麵風味，我家還不時會買外帶回去吃。 【合菜／冷盤組合】 組合很多樣，大致是肚膠蘆筍、五味九孔、烏魚子、龍蝦沙拉、海蜇頭、五味透抽交替組合。 【合菜／鮑魚櫻花蝦米糕】 底下鋪著米糕，配料豐富，不錯吃。 【合菜／大紅蟳米糕】 紅蟳很大尾，而且已經剖好，還算好食用；比較特殊的是這裡的米糕是麻油口味的，很好吃。 【合菜／紅蟳冬粉】 相較於米糕，我更喜歡冬粉，比較不會太快飽脹，還更吸湯汁，就是要快點夾，以免變成一大團。 【合菜／紅燒蹄膀】 必點年菜之一，蹄膀超大個，看得我傻眼……裡面的料也超多的，切這道菜來食用老實說挺費力。 【合菜／麻油雙腰】 雙腰質地新鮮、口感彈牙。 【合菜／麻油腰花松阪肉】 現場有人看到這道菜就要追加白飯了（笑），麻油湯汁淋在放上的確很好吃，松阪豬口感也很彈牙。 【合菜／清蒸鮮海魚】 盤子底下還有小火在燒，保溫良好，魚肉質地緊緻且滋味鮮甜。 【合菜／五柳糖醋魚】 多加了糖醋風味的油炸鮮魚。 【合菜／枸杞蒸鮮蝦】 蝦子很新鮮，肉很甜。 【合菜／藥膳百菇鮮蝦】 這次的蝦子真是恰到好處，飽滿味甜，湯汁也很好喝，菇類的用料也很多。 【合菜／干貝蹄筋燴海參】 海參很滑溜且彈牙。 【合菜／蠔油海參皿】 只是換了個菜名。 【合菜／白玉海鮮燴虎掌】 內容物包著碎肉和蟹條，咬下去很有份量。 【合菜／翡翠吻魚球】 吻仔魚裏頭包著絞肉與增添口感的荸薺，上頭還有些許蝦卵，不錯吃。 【合菜／招牌排骨酥組合】 大致是招牌排骨酥、軟玉酥豆腐、招牌芋頭酥、手工蚵捲與古早味雞捲的組合。 【合菜／魚翅參棗糯米雞盅】 光喝湯就感覺得出豐富的膠質，湯頭淡甜但滋味很濃厚。 【合菜／紅燒魚翅】 加一點點黑醋，味道讚到沒話說。 【合菜／松茸干貝肚盅】 比較像個蘿蔔湯……料很多，湯很甜。 【合菜／魷魚螺肉蒜鍋】 客家名菜，這裡的味道做得很道地，香菇又厚又有味，真的不錯。 【合菜／招牌佛跳牆】 料多到吃得我們叫不敢，但又因為不錯吃所以一直撈，可說是我目前為止吃過最好吃的佛跳牆。 【合菜／青菜】 種類艇多樣的，吃過蘿蔔葉、菠菜、芥藍苗、芥藍花、A菜、地瓜葉、小白菜、龍鬚菜等。 【合菜／一口冰】 有芋頭、花生和紅豆等口味，很古早的味道。。 【合菜／情人果】 酸度適中，相當不錯。

Very local and traditional Taiwanese food. If you like to taste the original of Taiwanese local food, do come here. Do order the special fried spare rib.. huge and juicy meat with special crispy coating crust. The steamed chicken and herbal soup chicken are so good. Surprisingly good sweet and sour fish, fried oyster that doesn’t like a oyster as it looks like fried banana. Steam braised pork with rice is so so good.. Overall good experience with the friendly waitress who used to work there for very Long and cosy environment.
