A rather ramshackle place with lots of areas with different emphasis. Started off in the grilled cuttlefish, squid area. Grilled and seasoned with salt & pepper, and spicy powder if you like (I did) - fantastic! Market has a myriad of live and Dead Sea creatures. Kids watched an octopus show a bucket of crabs who’s boss - Dr Oct won hands down. Very fresh seafood. Total spent 2,000NT for 1 chunk of cod fish, 8 large prawns, 2 bags of crab craws (one hard shell and larger, the other soft shelled and smaller). Walked across the carpark to a restaurant named 海中寶海鮮店. They helped prepare the dishes (abt 200 -250 NT each for type). Well prepared and managed to bring out the freshness of the seafood. I went there with some friends during mid autumn holidays. The place was very crowded and many were buying seafood (squids, prawns, lobsters and many others) for BBQ. Prices were very competitive but you need to check on the products that you are buying. Don’t be deceived when the stall sellers offered you a cheaper price. I was silly to be deceived by a fishmonger who sold me 6 pieces of cod fish for TWD 1000, it turned out to be rotten and I had to threw them all away. Feel very...
