Shian yeou — Restaurant in Taichung

A- [would come again / 還會再來]

· a famous all you can eat hot pot + stirfry dishes thats been around for the longest time

· its very popular with locals who loves seafood (around 500 NTD as of June 2025)

· incredibly spacious inside with over 50+ seating (outside looks like a remodeled warehouse)

· their stir-fry side dishes tasted mediocre compared to other restaurants

· have dimsum + cold dishes

· their main highlight = clam (bigger size) + shrimp (fresh) + at least 5 fish selections

· meat quality was average (used to have fresh meat cut service but no more now)

· mostly self-service after menu introduction + ordering soup

tldr: i would only come here for their seafood...

Was a nice little hot pot place. Large variety of everything for hotpot at a reasonable price. Love that everyone gets their own pot and can personalize soups as they would like and have as much ice cream for desert as you’d like. My mother is vegetarian and this place was perfect so we can all go out together. Only problem.
