Sam’s Burger — Restaurant in Taitung City

GOOD PORTIONS FOR THE PRICE. Visited this place during lunch rush. The menu has a diverse selection of omelets, burgers, and pasta. Price range around 200-300 NT. Courses features bottomless drinks and/or coffee (Pepsi-series products). The restaurant is cozy with booth seating. When we ordered, the waitress stated our food would take about 20-30 minutes. It took that long (if not a little longer) to receive our food. I suspect the kitchen is too small and/or undermanned and cannot handle the lunch demand. Nonetheless, the waitresses were attentive and friendly. Our food was delicious and the portions were generous. My wife is gluten-intolerant and cook was able to substitute her toast with a salad (she ordered an omelet). OVERALL worth the money if you have time to wait for the food.

Nice burger, shame about the bathrooms! They have to be the most disgusting looking restaurant toilets in all of southern Taiwan. If you were thinking of visiting India, just check the hygiene out here first to get the feeling. Meanwhile the burger joint itself has a decent USA in the 1980s vibe. Comfy booths. I enjoyed visiting a few times late evening. Young crowd. Service was pretty poor (for example I think it would be friendly to offer ketchup and mustard, with the burger, instead of the customer having to walk around different tables...

Heard it was best burger in Taitung. It was definitely good quality American style burgers. Also chicken, salad, and shakes on menu. Burger menu has lots of options, but if your Chinese isn't great, you may have a challenge figuring out what is on the thing. Burger names are English and Chinese, but descriptions are Chinese only.
