I don't agree for the most part with the glowing reviews. While the service is attentive by the food servers, selection leaves much to be desired. This isn't anymore Japanese than calling Thai food Chinese..
drinks are in a semi-hidden location and you have to know what to ask for. English isn't spoken here. Much of the hot food is cold. Sashimi is served on it's own with no calrose rice. The ready made sushi is limited. While some of the juices are fresh like guava, others like cranberry are not.
The lack of English descriptions at this eatery considering the supposed class of it is embarrassing. Many other restaurants that cost much less have English displayed. There's no Japanese writing either. Management's response is they don't have the staff to translate but that's a joke because there's translation applications.
Management also allows disruptive guests to chant at the inconvenience and enjoyment of others. This reminds me of the recent incident with EVA flight attendants and the disgusting obese male who insisted flight attendents wipe his orifice where the rude and disgusting have more rights than others.
One interesting tactic I seen is the food server chefs convenienly disappear often at their stations like steak. Even then, the steak is simply meh and cold. While the location in Taipei might be different, this one falls short on many levels.
If this restaurant and our experience was in North America, Australia, or Europe, I wouldn't rate it what I did. Don't believe the grossly inflated reviews such as...
Read moreIt’s a maze in there, the music is way too loud. don’t like the salad bar, you can’t pick your own salad and the portion is very small. Neither can you get your own drinks or scoop your own ice cream, the worst part it the cream brûlée, today they literally forgot the sugar on top of the crème brûlée, and they just served the pudding on its own. I had to go back to find the sugar that was supposed to be on top. Then saw a waitress Picking up the entire platter of pudding and taking it back to the kitchen to add the sugar, roast it and bring it back out again. Rest of the entrées are either too salty or overcooked. Half way through the meal they cleared off the entire noodle section ( that was weird). I don’t think I will go back there again. I refuse to spend NT$1000/person and then end up having to go to...
Read moreThis restaurant is located at a pretty good spot at the newly centered commercial area of Taoyuan district, Taoyuan city. It features great view because it is on 10th floor. It's a Japanese all you-can-eat style Restaurant. Service is pretty good and prompt. Staffs are helpful... One drawback here, it only waives 2 hour parking. So don't think it's free parking. How does it taste? Pretty good. Price is not friendly but still reasonable... 11/09/2019 revisited.... It was a Saturday. The price remains not friendly and the meal time was cut half. The food quality and quantity was apparently lower a lot. They really hurry you out at 9:30p. With this kind of price, quality, and such rush, I would definitely choose Eatogether or Hiliai Harbours.... Won't waste my time that...
