The Fat Yak — Restaurant in Taoyuan City

I like that this restaurant but the live music duo in the evening was way too loud. My mom and I couldn’t have a proper conversation at all. On top of that, we had a four year old child with us, and I felt the volume was a bit overwhelming for a kid. Ironically the most comfortable time for us was actually during the duo 10-minute break. Excellent place for lunch or dinner. Steaks, pizzas, burgers, and pastas for people of all ages. Appetizers and meat pies go well with beer and mix drink pairings. Owners and service are top class, providing great conversations and current events with jokes and playful banter. Patio/beer garden for ample ambience and for the light-hearted. We visited the restaurant in an early afternoon. There wasn’t many people so we had a good time. Great portion of chips and fresh salads. Amazing beef pie and burger.
