Great spot for seafood and other Taiwanese favorites. No English spoken but their menu has the names of dishes in both Mandarin and English (no pictures though). No credit cards or e-wallet payments - cash only.
Quick service and a wide menu highlighting seafood but with other options such as beef, pork, mutton, frog and snails. Dishes have distinct favor profiles and really are quite delicious. Clams with basil were fantastic. Pork belly was good with lots of peanuts. The hot plate with sliced mutton was exactly that - extremely hot with an egg cooked underneath a thick mound of sliced mutton, green onions and chili peppers. The escargot with basil was less impressive - mostly a texture issue exacerbated by what I think were wood mushrooms added into the mix. Their fried squid rings were firm and lightly battered.
Beer is the major beverage here, grabbed from self-service coolers at the back of the restaurant. But they also have some sodas and teas if you like. They had a few random bottled of liquor behind the cashier area but nothing indicating they sold alcoholic beverages other than beer. Rice is not ordered but can be served yourself from a large rice cooker at the back of the restaurant.
