右舍咖啡 — Restaurant in Yuanlin City

Coffee aroma struck me as soon as i walked in. Yeah, coffee time!

Good environment with the combination of lush green plants and bulky book shelves. Spacious but seats are not that many. You gotta make sure you grab yourself seats before ordering.

No mugs or cups simply takeaway paper cups for whoever ‘sips’ in or out though i prefer mugs.

As to my order, a hot cappuccino: the temperature was not what I expected. The coffee was a bit less than lukewarm and the froth on top was actually cold. Not sure if that’s the standard way in this cafe.

This rate may look unreasonable for such a good view of this cafe, but it deserves this assessment for its poor service. We had 7 people, and the cafe did not have enough seats for all of us to sit next to each other. It would have been totally fine if the staff had allowed us to move a chair to accommodate ourselves, yet they didn't. I even had to move a chair back to its original place, myself of course. Meanwhile, the 3rd floor was an empty room, where more chairs and table should have been added. For such service, the prices of the drinks were...

2024 update: inside is nice with free a/c. There are limited seats on the 1st and 2nd floor. It can get busy and fill up fast. The 3rd floor should've been made for more seats, but it's just an open area.

Unfortunately during covid times you can't sit inside. The environment looks nice. They have good covid policies in place where you need to check in and temperature check.

Coffee itself was good. Could use some ice to keep the drink colder in Taiwan's...
