Venue score upgraded: Liked the spinach "barak" (fatayer) a lot. Truly delicious. Even better was the meat fatayer that I experienced during my second visit on Monday February 10, 2025. Service was friendly and not overbearing as it had been on my previous visit. I enjoyed the food because all I ordered was the fatayer (barak), which made for an exceptional lunch. I simply did not order the dishes that had disappointed me on my previous visit. As for my previous visit: Had problems with the kubba but taste was to standard. Too small, just marbles, instead of American "footballs" - a real joke, frankly, with the joke on the customer. I have been eating kubbe, in the Middle East and North America, since 1985 and never have I seen kubbe so miniscule. Hummous and baba ghanouj were just average although the fresh mini pitas were baked to perfection. Ar-rayyis was poor. Cheesecake would have been excellent but for the unsolicited layer of fruit topping. Washed down with a fine expresso. For more details on the dishes I ordered and other matters from my first visit, please see my review on...

I was in Dushanbe for two days only and didn't know where to go for dinner - a friend found this gem of a restaurant on Google Maps which is why I gave it a try. I don't usually go to "upscale restaurants" and felt a little awkward dining out by myself but I truly appreciated the extraordinarily friendly and attentive service staff - they make you feel like a princess. I wish I could return to try more dishes off the menu! Food was high quality for sure. The only thing I did not enjoy as much was that they kept playing the same song the whole evening ;) The staff speaks English. Thank you for a lovely evening...

very beautiful restaurant, I like it this my 6 8th visit. 1st visit in 2013 and 2nd 2014 again back to Dushanbe, and now back again to Dushanbe, and weekly visiting, this one from the best restaurant in Tajikistan, where really you can taste middterian food, Syrian Arabic food. the young waiters are so polite, some of them speaks English, the cheef speak Arabic Russian and Tajik language. the owner speaks 5 languages. I recommend all visitors to Dushanbe to stop by and eat nice food.
