Delhi Darbar is a true gem in Dushanbe. If you like genuine Indian food, this is your place. I love the garlic naan, saag paneer, and chutney spreads. The decorate is beautiful and comfortable. The service is excellent (I communicated primarily in English & broken Tajik) and the presentation of food is as appealing as the food.
Happy, the Indian-American owner is, as his name suggests, always ready with a smile. They also sell some Indian essential products in the lobby display case. I visited several times during my 6-week stay in Dushanbe, and each time was better than the next.

The food is delicious, fresh Indian cuisine, spiced just right.
We always eat chicken tikka masala, aloo parathas, butter paneer masala, butter naan and tandoori chicken. The chicken is very tender and aromatic, served in a spicy tomato sauce, perfect with butter naan.
Service is informative and prompt, the stars of the show are the 2 ladies; Zahra and Sima who always treat us very special everytime we visit Delhi Darbar. I give this place a major thumbs up and recommend...

Kadhai chicken was excellent, nice and flavorful. I had "spicy", which was equivalent to a British medium or an Indian mild. Naan is also very good, light and crispy with good butter flavor. Lassi is good too, salty is the right way to enjoy it with a main course.
Warm gulab jamen for dessert were also pretty good, but not the best I've had.
Overall well worth a visit, this is some of the most flavourful food you'll find...
