A Serene Oasis in Arusha with Abundant Vegetarian Bites This establishment in Arusha offers a truly serene and delightful escape, perfectly blending a tranquil ambiance with satisfying food options. The setting, particularly the seating overlooking the lush, green landscape and pond, is the true highlight, immediately setting a relaxed and inviting tone. The outdoor (or semi-outdoor) seating areas are thoughtfully arranged, with comfortable modern grey armchairs and sofas in one section for lounging, and a more focused bar-style seating area directly facing the picturesque pond and surrounding greenery. This view, featuring what appears to be papyrus-like plants swaying gently, creates an immediate sense of calm and connection with nature, making it an ideal spot for quiet reflection or an intimate conversation. The natural light filtering through the overhead shade adds to the comfortable, unhurried atmosphere. For refreshments, the apple juice in a mason jar with fresh lime and mint was perfectly refreshing, and the beautifully presented cappuccino with latte art, served with a small biscuit, showcased attention to detail in their beverage service. The Vegetarian Platter we ordered was undoubtedly a star of the culinary offerings. This generous board was overflowing with an array of golden, crispy fried items like perfectly cooked onion rings and delicious vegetable croquettes, all delivering a satisfying crunch. Complementing these were plenty of potato chips, crackers, and a refreshing mix of fresh cucumber and carrot sticks, olives, dried tomatoes, and nuts, along with various dips. While the platter was substantial and tasty, I believe a wider array of cheeses and the addition of fresh fruits (like grapes or berries) could further elevate its appeal, adding more complexity and a refreshing counterpoint to the fried elements. Too much fried options. Also adding some sweet will be nice. In summary, this Arusha spot is a fantastic find. Its truly unique and calming natural views, combined with comfortable seating and a generous, well-executed vegetarian platter, create a memorable experience. It's a highly recommended destination for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat, good food, and refreshing drinks in a...
Read moreButter & Scotch is a gorgeous restaurant and cafe in Sable Square. I went to work from there one day and loved it. They serve really good food. I had breakfast there and it was top notch. I had the cheese omelette and Eggs Benedict, both of which were great! The coffee is on point too.
The atmosphere of the place is one of the best in Arusha. They have very playful wallpaper, excellent internal decor which is aesthetically done. It overlooks the woods and you see deer there often. The WiFi was also pretty good - I could easily do a couple of hours of video calls. I'll definitely go there again and try other things...
Read moreThis is the easiest 5/5 rating I'll probably ever give, simply because it comes with such ease. Butter & Scotch was the highlight of my Arusha trip when it came to food, and I really cannot wait to travel back down and get to enjoy their offerings again. The space, is extremely well put together and is super inviting, with enough varied sitting spaces. The food stole the entire show and was the perfect meal we needed as we made our way back to Nairobi. Must Visit for...
