I visited this Swahili restaurant after hearing about its famous biryani, only to discover that it is only available on Fridays. I changed my plans and tried the Swahili set meal instead. The coconut milk rice served with a garlic and tomato sauce was incredibly appetising. However, the real highlight was the selection of fresh juices — unbelievably thick and intensely flavourful, served in ice-cold containers. I’ve never tasted anything like it before, and I’m grateful to the waitress who recommended them. Despite being constantly busy moving around the restaurant, she kindly let me use her phone to sort out an issue with my ride home. The place has a warm, friendly vibe, making it perfect for watching sports or dining in groups, and the prices are very reasonable, likely catering to a younger crowd.
