Every staff member we came in contact with was warm and treated us like family - from the moment we were picked up at the airport late in the evening, I knew we made the right choice. It was a wonderful visit for my family of 4 (two adults & two children) for 3 nights. Our stay was honestly like a home away (very far away!) from home. Upepo guesthouse was clean, comfortable, cozy and uniquely decorated with local art. The outdoor space was beautiful and immaculately maintained with great seating areas, lots of shade and an incredible view. The staff asked about meal preferences and created wonderful meals that we all enjoyed (not easy with teenagers!). My daughter LOVED the mixed fresh fruit deserts. Hearing the waves in the evening was spectacular and watching the tidal changes throughout the day was awesome. Karianne was available for questions and advice at any time we needed and Fadhil took wonderful care of serving our food/drinks. Thank you all for making our stay so comfortable and relaxing! It was our first stop in Tanzania and every aspect of the visit was a perfect transition to a fantastic...
Read moreCan highly recommend to stay at Upepo Garden and also have them plan your visit to Tanzania. Everything has been so well prepared and planned! Staff is very nice, polite an helpful! 😍 Couldn’t ask for more ❤️|We stayed at Upepo Garden two nights and made excursions in to the city where our guide took us to the different local markets🐟🥑🍍🥥 He helped bargaining, and we made good deals 😉|They organized a Safari-trip where we drove to Selous, and stayed at Selous River Camp. We did a river safari, a morning walk in the woods and two full days of game drive. Saw lots of animals, though not as many as we had hoped for due to fact that it has been raining a lot🦒🦓🐘🐊🦛🐿🦎🐜🐌🦉🦅From Selous we flew to Zanzibar, where we spent two amazing days at Emerson Hurumzi in Stonetown. Had the best lunches and dinners, and the rooms were a dream! We he last three nights we spent at Blue Oyster directly on the beach on the east coast of Zanzibar. Everything has been planned so well and have worked out perfectly fine. We have felt perfectly taken care of since our arrival. Again, higly...
Read moreVery cute, boutique style space. Beautiful area to have dinner and shisha near the beach, with buzzing music that was incredibly enjoyable. The area is kid friendly, as the music isn’t booming but rather soft in the background and still enjoyable. It is relatively small, but worth the early arrival to secure a good table/space with the gorgeous ocean view. The tables are also spaced out in a great way, to where each party/group could feel a sense of privacy or separation from the other guests. Prices were also super affordable, however, service can be a bit slow. As they just re-opened, I believe they could be undergoing some staff changes, but you definitely need to hunt down your server and press him for service or else you’d be waiting for quite some time. Great...
