This is a pleasant little village restaurant just of Matemwe beach . I had read previous great reviews and wanted to eat there . The food was delicious , we ate there five times ! He even set us up a beach table under the full moon which was super . No liquor sold we pre warned so we took our own and he is happy to store any excess , and should you run out he will zip you back to your hotel to pick up more on his scooter , this was fun riding on the beach . We ate seafood soup which was exquisite, his grilled kingfish super red snapper and seafood curry were much enjoyed . Food delivery can be slow as he cooks it all fresh to order, but you can speed things up up by preordering earlier of even the day before and specifically request a Fish of your liking. Last but not least his samosas are one of the tastiest I’ve eaten and I’m a samosas enthusiast. The prices are reasonable average about £15 a head . To cap it off Ali is a warm friendly host . Do not miss this opportunity to eat here

This is a charming little, very local, authentic cafe. When we arrived at 6:50 it was closed, but I asked a local for directions and was escorted there. It appeared closed but he quickly called the owner to tell him he had customers. The food was so fresh with the curry paste made on the spot! The only downside was the limited choices we were offered that included grilled lobster, grilled prawns, and chicken Masala. It was hands down the best curry I’ve ever eaten. The tables were clean and the cafe was well lit. We drove from the Zanzibar Queen Hotel and had to park a couple “blocks” away and had to be shown the way from where we’d parked, so a little tough to find if driving from Kigomani village. Otherwise, a wonderful place for local cuisine!!

This restuarant was close to our hotel and walk through from the beach. After reading a few reviews about the wait time to be longer than 1 hour, we were prepared mentally for the waiting time period. The restuarant had a few tables and all were empty seats. We still wanted to give it a try. We ordered fries, chicken curry and pilau. The food was served to us exactly after 1 hour 15 mins. The food was good and worth the wait. The curry could be a more saucy, we found the curry to be dry a bit. The restuarant owner served us complimentary fruits. The owner was kind, humble and genuine. They could do better on the basic interior of the resturant and the hygiene part of it. Overall all good food and good owner.

We discovered this nice place just one minute walking from the beach. Each day we came to eat there again . It has fair prices, especially comparing with the hotel's restaurant that ask for an extremly high price for tanzania. The restaurant have a variety of dishes including pizza and pasta and many nore. Every dish we chose was really great. Also good options for vegeterian. Abduli the owner is really nice and welcoming. He also gived us a big plate with fruits after the meal on the house. He built the place by himself during almost a year and it is a cute and authentic local place. It's a real support to come and eat in his place 'cause he works hard for doing a legitimate job. Really recommended!...
