There's nothing fancy or flamboyant about South East Asian cuisine the focus is always about the food. No romantic ambience, no bombastic services purely food. In this case, it's all about Penang food ... laksa, curry noodles, Bak Kut Teh and Cha Kuay Teow the penang way. Those from Malaysia or familiar with Malaysian food know what I am talking about. Today let me review only 2 kind of food here, CKT & BKT... only those who seek will know la😁😁. CKT aka Cha Kuay Teow, stir fried white noodles .... it's good! The key to a plate of good CKT apart from the fish source it's THE Wok Hei. The cook got it right here, at least mine is. Highly recommended for those Malaysians in Bangkok looking for a plate of decent penang CKT look no further. This is the place.
BKT aka Bak Kut Teh, the nanyang bones herbs soup, I ordered just to check it out if they meet my expectations. Well.... it's not bad however just like CKT, BKT also has its origin specialty. For me, I like dark source BKT more towards Klang style, heavy herbs flavor. I think it's ok however I prefer the now "retired" original Soon Huat at Rachada.

Excited to return and explore more of their menu, especially the reportedly popular mala hotpot. A gem worth revisiting for its genuine Malaysian flavors and...
