As far as Chinese resraurants go, this is overall a pleasant surprise. No frills, clean place, nice servers. Food is remarkably not oily by Chinese restaurant standard, which is always a plus for me, unless you order a plate of fried rice, which can actually benefit from some oil. We ordered shark fin, sauteed kailan, fried fish maw, and fried rice. Soup of the shark fin was different: more like gravy than the usual clear viscous liquid you generally get from other places, which was deemed as a plus, and for me: not a bad thing. What I thoroughly enjoyed was the kailan, not pictured, which came shaved and covered in another gravy like sauce unlike the usual oil and oyster sauce variety. We tried the signature shark fin soup in large size, it had a decent quantity of top quality shark fin. The broth was thick as it was loaded with collagen. It also had great aromatics and savoriness from ingredients such as meat bones, Chinese ham etc,. With the added cilantro, it was just extremely flavorful.
