I would give 4 stars generally for the food and 2 stars for the service and management. It was scarily crowded with no social distancing. Customers were seated back to back to next table and waiters squeezed in between while serving! The management should be more responsible during this COVID-19 Omicron situation. Most dishes were delicious except for the paella which I found very disappointing. It came in a large pan (I guess this makes attractive presentation), too large that the rice was in very thin layer and, naturally, the bottom was burnt. To serve? you need to actually "scrape"! We hardly got 6 spoons of rice out of the whole pan. Although not authentic, it tasted good. The cold pasta with scallops was great. Dessert was good. Large good selection of Spanish wine. We would have enjoyed everything more if it weren't too crowded and very very noisy. After waiting a very long time for the dishes we ordered when first seated the waitress came to inform us that it would take another...
Read moreI recently visited this restaurant for my birthday dinner with close friends and, unfortunately, found the experience underwhelming given the overall cost.
While the food and service were good, they were on par with standard expectations for restaurants in this category, nothing particularly outstanding. What stood out more, however, was the lack of any special gesture or personalized touch to acknowledge the occasion, which many restaurants of similar pricing and tier in town usually provide.
The location on Ratchapruek is decent, but I found the space and layout lacking in comfort. Tables were set quite close to each other, resulting in a lack of privacy. We could clearly hear conversations from nearby tables, which made it difficult to fully enjoy the evening.
In summary, considering the price point and the overall experience, I personally feel it did not deliver the value I was expecting. I would hesitate to recommend it for...
Read moreThis Spanish restaurant is not the typical Tapas bar which you might expect. No, this is a first class white table cloth dining restaurant with superb quality for most criteria. 1. The venue itself is a stylish, comfortable and coherent place. Upon entry, an impressive wine store room sets the mood. 2. The menu layout is close to perfect, with superb photos of all the (many) dishes. 3. The service staff works efficient, attentive and (mostly) knowledgeable. And finally, 4. The food is just very, very tasty. From the sourdough bread, deep fried octopus, green asparagus to the iberico pork dishes and the Sangria: everything super-aroi. Only one exception: the alioli is terrible, certainly not homemade. The kitchen staff should take a look and improve this sauce. 5. The prices are self-confident and upscale, but so is the restaurant. Fitting. We will come back to try more...
