I saw a few YouTubers who talked about this place, so I decided to try it out when I was in Thailand. This place is awesome if you like barbecuing seafood. There are lots of varieties of fresh seafood, ranging from snails to fish, oysters to fresh live prawns. It's a great experience to eat here. The price as of June 2023 is 499 Bhat +59 Bhat if you want soft drinks to keep flowing. There are some side dishes like salad and different starches to eat as well. In general, I think it's a good experience. Two things to look out for: The tables are set outdoors. With charcoal burning, cooking outdoors is rightly so. However, it can get really hot after a while, which decreases your appetite a little. The restaurant closes at 10pm. But by 8:30pm, you would hear the repeating warning that the buffet line would be closed at 9pm. That means the workers would start storing the untouched food away. I see a rush at 9pm to grab as many food items as possible if you want more. This portion turned me off a little. I understand that the workers need to go home. But to close the buffet line 1 hour before closing seems much to me. The price is really great compared to the buffets in the US. The variety of seafood is outstanding. I think, though, that it would be greater if there are a few more choices of meat for those who may not...

It’s a buffet system grilled seafood restaurant. So much variety of seafood to choose.I am satisfied with the food as the seafood are so fresh and delicious.Side dishes are just normal but don’t forget to eat their “crab curry” as it was superb,(I’m not sure it’s yellow curry or masala curry” Anyway,I am satisfied with the food plus the service is more than okay (not the best). For the atmosphere,it is so hot without AC.But I can understand there’re enough of very big fans. The price is around 450 something as I don’t remember exactly. And you have to give extra 50 baht if you take steamed pot and also have to give extra for unlimited drinks.I understand they charged for drinks but then the only thing that made me so upset is they charged us 59 baht each for water.Me and my bf told them we don’t take unlimited drinks but when we got the voucher, they charged extra 59 baht per person and said it’s for unlimited water. We didn’t drink unlimited water from drink station and we also ordered new water bottle with 20 baht. Plus the water from the drink station what they charged was so bad and tasted like sink water. At first I thought everything was fine about this restaurant including service and food. But that one point made me feel like it’s a scam.If they fix that,I’ll go...

We are a group of 4 people, arrived there at 5 PM, no queue yet.

Buffet Seafood THB 499 per Adult (for grill) Free Refill Drink THB 59 per person Additional Steamer Use THB 99 / table Lobster additional charge THB 100 / 100gram

I think the free refill drink charge was compulsory because we were not asked whether we wanted it or not, and also no sign of a la carte drink that can be ordered. Among all the sweet drinks, there's cold water also.

The ambiance was very exciting and people walked around with piles of seafood on their plates. The live seafood was only 2 kinds, mud crab and shrimp. The rest was fresh/ frozen.

All clams were in good conditions. Horseshoe crab was good (for those who never eaten this, it only has roe but no meat, taste a bit like crab roe).

We were kinda disappointed with the other kinds like slipper lobster, mantis shrimp, and spanner/cicada crab were not so fresh when we were there.

But it was an interesting experience to visit once when...

Mungkorn Seafood in Thailand earns a resounding five-star rating from me for its outstanding seafood offerings. The freshness of the seafood is undeniable, with a menu featuring an array of grilled delights including shrimp, squid, fish, crabs, clams, and much more. Each dish is prepared to perfection, allowing diners to savor the true flavors of the ocean. The pricing at Mungkorn Seafood is very reasonable, making it an excellent value for the quality and variety of seafood offered. Additionally, there is no time limit on dining, which allows guests to relax and enjoy their meals at their own pace. However, one downside is the venue's temperature. Given Thailand's already warm climate, the atmosphere inside the restaurant can become quite hot, which might be uncomfortable for some diners. Despite this, the exceptional quality and affordability of the seafood make Mungkorn Seafood a must-visit for seafood lovers visiting Thailand.
