HUOLONG Chinese Mala HotPot & Grill — Restaurant in Bang Ramat Subdistrict

My colleague recommended this restaurant to me for its yummy beef. So, I and my husband wanted to give it a try on our Valentine's Day. As they offered a V-day promotion for premium hotpot buffet, we selected that tier for our special meal, costing us about 7xx ฿/person. It turned out so wrong in many levels. First, the service was super slow, which was quite understandable since it was Valentine's Day. Second, the taste was not worth the price you had to pay for. Especially, the Mala soup costs you extra fees, not included in the buffet package. The only one single thing that pleased me on that table was the sauces. Last, as you can see from the picture I posted, that was all we ate that night. We had been waiting for the 2nd-round order for almost 40 minutes, asking the waitresses a couple times. Nothing came. Finally, a waitress told us to reorder the food because they had lost it, my patience was over. I asked for a bill check. A lady who looked like a captain apologized us, handing us a 10% discounted bill to check what we ordered. It showed all that we ordered twice!? As I tried my best to keep my temper down from what I saw on the bill, she offered us some sweet treats to end up our meal. I gave them the very last chance to, at least, change my attitude towards this restaurant to be more positive. It was almost 9pm; we spent almost 2 hours for tasteless food at this fancy restaurant. A waitress came to ask what we had ordered for desserts. Again?! We couldn't bear it anymore and went straight back home. My husband wrote a review on their FB page. After that, they sent him gift vouchers for the same premium buffet package that we had, the highest tier. Thank you...

We chose the 699 all you can eat buffet. Mala soup base has to pay extra 120b. Meat and veggie are fresh except the Aus Beef chunk roll stinks a bit. However, staff always skip some dishes for an order and has to remind what is missing. For dessert, it is served only for one time and can choose from panna cotta or tofu pudding. I chose tofu pudding and i was shocked by how thin the layer is (can see from the picture attached.) looks a bit stingy when it is so thin & small plus only served one time for a buffet style hot pot. It would be great if drinks are not only limited to iced sweetened jasmine tea for the buffet.

Overall services provided by the staff is not that good. Maybe due to understaff. Not quite active respond to customers when we asked for help. Always forget a few dishes we ordered and need to check with them.

Nice place to bring your dog here. Only 3 table indoor available for dog. The rear have to stay outdoor. Great service indeed. Plenty of space to park tho a bit dark but right next to the restaurant so still fine. Our 3rd time here and must say the quality has dropped significantly. Our favourite pumpkin soup that was supposed to be thick and creamy is now taste like water with some flavor. The environment has changed completely, the staffs are still nice but not to the equal level we experienced during our first two visits. The food quality is not what we expected to have since it has degraded so poorly. One good thing here (and might say the only good thing here now is that we are still allow to bring dog on leash indoor with us. The rest is certainly not to what...
