Osteria Italia — Restaurant in Buri Ram Province

The worse dinning experience ever in my entire life , waited for nearly 2 hours for just 3 pasta dishes, the owner totally out of mind and control, screaming to all his staff in front of customers and in the kitchen, confronting us on the table when we asking for our dishes ,he acted like a psycho with stupid poorly professional answers as he has to put 6 chefs to prepare our pasta or that the pasta take loong time to be cooked ( apparently 2 hours) even his customers there that witnessed the situation was in a shock and looking at us as what's happening here, we tried 2 starters before to wait for 2 hours for our dishes, melon and ham and bruscheta, the melon hard as a rock and the bruscheta a shame for an Italian , ah and if you're thinking to have a pizza after 6 pm forget it, is the first thing the waitress informed us, no pizza after 6pm, the reason? Who knows????on top of that his attitude was the worse trying to justify the waiting time because his chefs fails, the final funny thing of the experience is that after all we had to leave the restaurant without having a dinner and find a new place absolutely an horrendous experience , knowing the character of this guy I know that after reading my review he will answer with some crazy arguments, but believe me I did not lie in a word, and there was people there as witness Of course you don't care, because you're an awful professional, if we say we can wait a bit doesn't means 2 hours, if you can't handle your menu don't run a restaurant, you have 0 skills as an owner confronting customers, fortunately not all Italians are as you ...and we're the ones don't care as you're a place with 0...

On a few days trip to lovely Buriram I felt the need of some home food, I couldn't land on a better chair! Vincenzo is a great host and you will feel right at home in Italy. This is NOT the average okeish Italian Food, it is a true Italian experience as you would expect at home in Italy.

I really wish I had more days to spare and try out more dishes!

Vincenzo reasearches and selects prime items and add his personal Italian touch, you will hardly find a more genuine place in other provinces including the more touristy Phuket and Krabi.

Osteria is an Italian restaurant that does not only serve great pizza but other traditional Italian dishes too - which is not really common up here in Buriram. They do have a pizza buffet on Fridays which they should advertise a bit more. I had a generous slice of pizza that came complimentary, then some cold cuts as antipasti which were good. Antipasti could have had a bit more of variety though. As main I had tortellini and for dessert I wanted to sample the Tiramisu but unfortunately he didn't have any. So some icecream...
